Parag Khanna

Parag Khanna ( born 1977 in Kanpur ) is an Indian- American author and expert on international relations. In the New America Foundation think tank in Washington, DC he directs the Global Governance Initiative.

Life

Khanna graduated from the Edmund A. Walsh School of Georgetown University and was a 1991-2001 also enrolled at the Free University Berlin. At the London School of Economics, he was awarded his doctorate for PhD.

He worked for the Council on Foreign Relations, the World Economic Forum and the Brookings Institution. In 2007 he was a geopolitical advisor to the United States Special Operations Forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. Khanna also part of the campaign team for the presidency of Barack Obama.

In 2008 he was a guest of the American Academy in Berlin.

Khanna lives with his wife and daughter in New York City.
