Paris Bourse

The Paris Stock Exchange (also Bourse Paris Bourse de Paris or ) is the only stock exchange in France. The company in Paris has been operated since 2000 by NYSE Euro Next.

History

The roots of the Paris Stock Exchange dates back to 24 September 1724. During the early 19th century, the commercial center was concentrated in securities at the Palais Brongniart (including Palais de la Bourse ) and in the second half of this century, just the Compagnie des agents de change originated. The managing body of elected this company securities dealers had to meet several requirements. Until the late 1980s was working on this exchange by trading floor. An electronic trading system was established in 1986, which was fully automated in 1989.
