Paris Talks

The book Paris Talks (English: Paris Talks ) is a collection of 52 speeches Abdul- Baha, which he kept on his European tour from October 16 to December 1, 1911 in Paris. After his trip to Paris, he visited London, where he also held speeches. Abdul- Baha lived in the Avenue de Camões 4, which is right next to the Trocadero. His sermons were not limited to the persons present in this house, but he spoke to all people. He spoke in the homes of Baha'is, the headquarters of the Theosophical Society, at Allianz Spiritualiste, in the church of Pastor Wagner and the Foyer de l' Ame. The speeches he gave in Persian and they were then translated by Laura Clifford Barney and her husband, the scholar Hippolyte Dreyfus - Barney, into French. Sara Louisa Blomfield of London, her two daughters and her friend recorded the speeches and put them at the request of Abdul- Baha into English. In 1914 appeared a German translation under the title " Gospel of love and peace " and 1921 "held speeches of Abdul- Baha Abbas in the autumn of 1911 in Paris" under the title. Bahá'u'lláh has specifically ordered that only the authentic words of Scripture may be regarded as a revelation. Although enjoys the book among the faithful great appreciation, the stenographic recorded, translated speeches are not considered completely authentic part of the disclosure, especially as they were reproduced not always work properly by his interpreter.

Content

Abdul- Baha was in his speeches on the importance of a politeness and friendliness towards strangers, and emphasizes the importance of the ending of poverty and wealth. He urges observance of peace and the avoidance of war and shows the common interaction of religion and science. He also summarizes the twelve ethical principles of the Bahai and sets the completion of all prejudices towards strangers and strange close.
