Parkers Steiger forest frog ( Leptopelis parkeri ) is a Froschlurch from the kind of wood dart frog ( Leptopelis ).
Features
The head-body length is 56 mm (females ), the males remain significantly smaller with 34 to 43 mm. A striking feature in Leptopelis parkeri are the huge red eyes with vertical pupils, but this applies to Leptopelis barbouri from the same habitat also. The back is gray patterned, sometimes brown to olive green. Abdomen and limbs have a yellowish pattern.
Distribution and habitat
Leptopelis parkeri is used in the Usambara, Uluguru, Pale and Udzungwa Mountains of Tanzania. He is nocturnal and feeds on small insects.
