Party Against Bullfighting, Cruelty and Mistreatment of Animals

The Partido Animal Ista Contra el Maltrato Animal ( PACMA, basque: Zezenketen Aurkako eta Animalien Aldeko Alderdia, ZAAAA, German about: party animal rights activists against animal abuse) is a Spanish political party. It is committed above all for animal rights, especially against bullfights.

The party was founded under the name Partido antitaurino Contra el Maltrato Animal ( Anti- bullfighting party against animal abuse) on 24 February 2003 in Bilbao. It has its strongholds in Catalonia and Galicia, but occurs in spain far.

The party occurs on a regular basis since 2007 for elections to provincial and national level. In the so far last parliamentary election in November 2011, it reached 102 144 votes and a voting share of 0.42 %, but could not win a seat. The best results at the provincial level were 0.53% in the election to the Provincial Assembly in Madrid in May 2011 and 0.54 % in the election in Galicia in 2012.
