Party of the Reconstruction of the National Order

The Partido da da Ordem Nacional Reedificação ( PRONA ) ( to German about: Party for re- establishment of a National Code) was a political party in Brazil.

The PRONA saw himself as system-critical party and opposes globalization, free-market economy and the " international financial system ." The party is strongly influenced by patriotic and nationalistic. During an election campaign, the party demanded, among other things, that Brazil should obtain nuclear weapons.

History

The PRONA was founded on July 29, 1985, met four years later for the first time in national elections. The former chairman of the party, Enéas Ferreira Carneiro, candidate 1989, 1994 and recently in 1998 for the office of President of Brazil. In the elections in October 2002 ran Enéas in São Paulo state for the Congress and received more than 1.55 million votes, so solely on the basis of these votes moved in with him another five candidates in the Chamber of Deputies. Overall, the party received 1.6 million votes in the elections.

On 24 October 2006 it merged with the Liberal Party ( PL ) for the Partido da República (PR).
