Parwan Province
Parwan ( Pashto / Dari: پروان ) is a province ( velayat ) in eastern Afghanistan, with 630,000 inhabitants. Its capital is Charikar.

Geography
Important rivers of the province are of the whole province from west to east flowing river Ghorband. This leads to the provincial border in the east in the coming from the province of Panjshir Panjshir River. The estuary is an important fertile plain, where, among other things, the capital and the Bagram Air Base is located. The provincial border southward following, the Panjshir leaves the province to further open only a few kilometers, even in another river.
