Pascal Schürpf

Pascal Schürpf ( born July 15, 1989 in Basel ) is a Swiss football player.

Career

The left-sided midfielder or in the storm usable Schürpf began as a child at the Old Boys Basel playing football. In the e- youth, he moved to local rivals FC Basel, where he went through the other ages at junior level. In the U-21 team of FCB he scored 32 goals in 42 games of the seasons 2007/ 08 and 2008 /09. In the summer of 2008 he received a professional contract until 30 June 2011, which was extended early in April 2010 to 30 June 2014 at FC Basel.

In January 2009 Schürpf was loaned to the Challenge League club Concordia Basel. Here in the second division of Switzerland, he made his debut as a professional and played until the end of the season 2008/ 09 fourteen games, where he scored five goals. After the relegation of Concordia, he returned the following season to FC Basel.

In January 2011 Schürpf was loaned for six months to the Challenge League club FC Lugano. His debut in Lugano, he was in a 2-1 home victory on February 21 in the game against FC Vaduz. His first goal for Lugano, he scored in a 3-2 away win on 27 February at FC Biel -Bienne. In the 2011/2012 season, he returned to FC Basel.

In January 2012 Schürpf was loaned again to the end of the season to earn playing time, this time to the Challenge League club FC Aarau. The lending was to run until the end of the 2012/13 season, but in summer 2012 Schürpf returned to Basel, where he was ranked the squad at the U-21 team.

In the U-20 national team he played, among others, as a strike partner Mario Gavranović.
