Pascale Bussières

Pascale Bussières (* June 27, 1968 in Montreal, Quebec ) is a Canadian actress.

Bussières lives in Montreal and attended the local Concordia University acting classes. In 1994 she received a Metrostar as the most popular actress in Québec. She played the lead role in When Night ( 1995) by Patricia Rozema about the love of a Christian teacher to a circus artist. In 2000 she received a Prix Jutra for best supporting actress for the Youth Film Emporte -moi by director Léa Pool, where she represented the mother of the main character ( Karine Vanasse ). Another main role had Bussières in the Mystery -Romance La Turbulence of the fluid (2002) by director and writer Manon Briand, the Luc Besson produced. In the adventure film The Blue Butterfly (2004) with William Hurt, she starred, directed by Léa Pool in a supporting role as mother of the main character. 2005 Bussières won a Genie Award for Best Actress for Ma vie en cinémascope.
