Paska (bread)

Paska is a milk bread that is traditionally baked for Easter. It is distributed mainly in the countries of Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia. It is made from milk, eggs, flour and lemon and tastes sweet. It is similar to a brioche, decorated with dough forms. In the middle is often a cross to find. Before baking, the dough is moistened with milk from the outside, causing the crust maroon colored later. By the yolk the Paska gets a yellowish color inside.
