Paso del Cerro

Paso del Cerro is a village in Uruguay.

Geography

Paso del Cerro is located in the northern part of the country of Uruguay in the field of the department of Tacuarembó in its sector 5 near the border with Nachbardepartamento Rivera. Not far east of the village flows the Río Tacuarembó, north of the right-side tributary of Arroyo Tranqueritas. A few kilometers south runs with the Arroyo Carpintería another right-side tributary of the Río Tacuarembó, which flows near the Paso del Cerro also mentioned landmark in this. The far south west of the town Paso del Cerro -lying areas are as Cuchilla de la Palma, Sierra de las Sepulturas and Cuchilla de Rincón called. Nearest settlement of Paso del Cerro in a northerly direction Laureles. Approximately half way between these two places is the Cerro Crawford.

Infrastructure

Through the town performs the railway line Montevideo - Tacuarembó - Rivera of AFE.

Population

The population of Paso del Cerro is 235 (as of 2011), of which 117 are male and 118 female residents.
