Pasporta Servo

Pasporta Servo ( " Passport Service ") is a network of people who speak Esperanto and are willing to other Esperanto speakers to offer a free place to stay. The address directory is used by the World Esperanto Youth Organization of the Tejo ( = Tutmonda Esperantista Junulara Organizo ) published and updated annually: In the 2007 edition 1294 hosts are registered in 89 countries; Most hosts are there in Europe.

Anyone who speaks Esperanto to use such hospitality network. In the address list, the hosts inform their terms: for example, how many guests are welcome as long can they stay or whether they should announce their visit in advance. The hosts do not require rent, many offer next to the place to sleep and a breakfast or dinner, and some joint activities with visitors. Return visits are not required.
