Pasquale di Sabatino

Pasquale di Sabatino ( born January 20, 1988 in Atri ) is an Italian racing driver. He joined from 2006 to 2009 in the Formula Renault 3.5 at. In 2012 he starts in the World Touring Car Championship ( WTCC).

Career

Like most racers began di Sabatino his career in karting, where he was active from 1999 to 2004. In 2005 he moved to Formula racing and became an instant champion of Italian Formula Junior. He then took part in the Winter Series of the Italian Formula Renault and was overall tenth. In 2006, he launched initially in the Italian Formula Renault before he made his debut as a substitute for Miloš Pavlović with Cram Competition in Formula Renault 3.5. In both series, he did not score. 2007 remained di Sabatino in the Formula Renault 3.5 and went for GD Racing at the start. At the end of the season, he finished with a ninth place as best result 26th overall.

2008 di Sabatino moved to Comtec Racing and was already at the first race of the season in second place on the podium. Later he no longer followed up on the initial success and was replaced after seven race weekends due to financial problems by Sten Pentus. In the overall standings, he eventually finished in 20th place. 2009 remained di Sabatino again in the Formula Renault 3.5 and denied his fourth season in the Championship. Starting for RC Motorsport he succeeded at the Hungaroring his first victory. With another podium place he occupied at the end of the season in twelfth place overall. This season he did not participate in the final race weekend due to financial problems.

After di Sabatino had participated only in the first four races of the Italian Formula 3 Championship for the Alan Racing Team in 2010 and had no points, he started 2011 in the Auto GP. After he started the first race weekend for Ombra Racing, he moved within the series to TP Formula. With a fourth place as best result he finished the season in twelfth place overall.

2012 moved di Sabatino in touring car racing and is effective for bamboo -engineering in a Chevrolet Cruze 1.6T in the World Touring Car Championship ( WTCC). After the second race weekend is a 14th place his best result.
