The Passumpsic River is a right tributary of the Connecticut River in the U.S. state of Vermont.

The Passumpsic River is formed at the confluence of its two headwaters of East Branch and West Branch Passumpsic River north-east of Lyndonville in the Town of Lyndon. It flows on the western outskirts of Lyndonville passed to the south. In Saint Johnsbury the Moose River empties, its biggest tributary, the left side into the river. Further downstream are the hamlets Passumpsic and East Barnet, belonging to the Town of Barnet. The West Branch Passumpsic River arises at the confluence of several tributaries in the Town of Westmoreland. It flows in a south-southeast direction and, after 22 km to the East Branch. Its catchment area covers 174 km ².
