Paszków

Paszków ( German Pohl village) is a village located in powiat Kłodzki in the Province of Lower Silesia in Poland. It is located eleven kilometers northwest of Bystrzyca Kłodzka ( Habelschwerdt ), whose urban and rural community it belongs to.

Geography

Paszków is located on the eastern slope of the Habelschwerdter Mountains. It is reached via a spur road that branches off at Starkówek of the Province Road 388 and ends behind Paszków. Neighboring towns are Starkówek in the north, Starkov in the northeast, Nowa Lomnica in the east, and Szczawina Huta in the southeast and Kostera ( Rinneberg ) and Pokrzywno in the northwest. To the south rises the 898 m high Tropaeolum plate ( Lomnicka Równia ).

History

Pohl village was established in the middle of the 16th century as a widely populated mountain village. It belonged to Habelschwerdter district in Glatzer country with which it shared the story of his political and religious affiliation. After the Silesian Wars, it coincided with the county of Glatz in 1763 with the Peace of Hubertusburg to Prussia. After the reorganization of Prussia belonged since 1815 to the province of Silesia and was first incorporated into the county of Glatz. 1818 was reclassified in the newly formed district Habelschwerdt to which it belonged until 1945. 1889-1990 had the writer Hermann Stehr as a teacher in Pohl village. 1939 counted 502 inhabitants.

As a result of World War II Pohl village fell in 1945 as almost all of Silesia to Poland and was renamed Paszków. The German population was expelled. The new inhabitants were partly displaced persons from eastern Poland. Many of them left Paszków However, in the next few decades back, so that most of the houses and farms were left to decay. In the 1990s, the population was around 15% of the residents of 1939. Since 1945 belonged to Paszków powiat Bystrzycki, which was founded in 1975, as well as the competent until then Wrocław Voivodeship dissolved. 1975, came to the newly formed Province Wałbrzych, which existed until 1998.
