Pat and Mike is an American feature film ( romantic comedy, sports movie ), the director George Cukor has directed in 1952 for Metro -Goldwyn- Mayer.
Action
The scene is a city in California, the time the present. Pat Pemberton, an attractive young widow, is an athletic trainer at the (fictional ) Pacific Technical College. Pat and Mike is the seventh of the nine movies in which Spencer Tracy and Katharine Hepburn were seen as a screen couple, and their fourth joint comedy (after The woman of whom you speak, To be wise for love and marriage war ). The screenplay was by Garson Kanin and Ruth Gordon, who were close friends with the couple, especially with Hepburn. Even with director Cukor were Tracy and Hepburn has long friends; Cukor with Tracy more films than any other director staged.
The filming took place in Los Angeles from January to March 1952.
