Pat Nevin

Patrick Kevin Francis Nevin ( born September 6, 1963 in Glasgow ) is a former Scottish footballer.

Life and career

An ardent Celtic pendant Nevin was also in the youth team of the Green-Whites. His time biggest problems was its small body size, which is why Celtic sold him to FC Clyde. While he was under contract with Clyde (1981-1983) he was called up for the Scotland U-19 selection. With the U-19 national team, he participated in the U-19 European Championship in Finland. Nevin won the title with his team and was voted the best player of the tournament. After this good performance, he moved in 1983 for the equivalent of approximately 140,000 euros to Chelsea to England. With the blues, he rose to the highest English league. In 1988 it went to Everton. The Toffees paid € 1.4 million for the winger. After his career in Liverpool he played for five years at the Tranmere Rovers, and three years in his native Scotland at Kilmarnock FC Motherwell. International Nevin played 28 times for his country Scotland, scoring five goals. He made his debut against Romania in 1986. Nevin attended the European Football Championship 1992 in Sweden in part, was in all three group matches and spare difference with the Scottish selection in the group stage after a win and two defeats. Currently Nevin works as a columnist, TV analyst for BBC Scotland and as a radio commentator for the BBC. Furthermore, the intellectual footballers brought an autobiography with the name: In Ma Head, Son to the market.
