Patpong

Patpong ( different spelling Phat Phong, Thai: พัฒน์ พง ษ์ ) is an entertainment and red-light district in Bangkok, Thailand. Patpong consists of two parallel side streets ( Sois ) Silom Road Soi Patpong 1 and Patpong Soi 2, the connecting roads between them and the branching off dead ends. Patpong is located between Thanon Silom and Thanon Surawong near its eastern end.

In Patpong and in the immediate vicinity there are numerous good restaurants. Likewise, there is one of the most popular live music clubs, Radio City here, as well as a popular nightclub, the Lucifer, which runs native younger audience from about 23 clock. For several years there in a Patpong Night Market, which is located directly on the streets that are locked for this purpose in the evenings. This has become a major tourist attraction. Many dealers also offer fake brand goods for sale.

Contrary to widespread rumors that Patpong was launched by U.S. GIs to life, the former Patpongphanit Patriarch said ( the founder of Patpong Dynasty ) in an interview with the Metro that international flight attendants in the late 50s of the 20th century were first heavily inquirers customers.
