Patriarchal Exarchate for Orthodox Parishes of Russian Tradition in Western Europe

Exarchate of orthodox churches of Russian tradition in Western Europe now called the former Archbishopric of the Orthodox Russian communities in Western Europe. The Exarchate is established in Paris in the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, and is under the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople Opel. The former Exarch, Archbishop Gabriel of Comana (Guido de Vylder, passed away on October 26, 2013 in Maastricht), had asked to be relieved of his illness episcopal task. Most communities have the Exarchate in France. The only parish in Germany has long been the Orthodox Parish of the Holy Archangels in Dusseldorf, which is headed by Archpriest Peter Sunday. Over many years, was Archpriest Sergius Heitz parish priest. For several years there in Stuttgart, a town on the former cemetery church in Prague Cemetery, which is headed by priest John Kaßberger.
