Patrice Abanda

Jouan Patrice Abanda Etong ( born August 3, 1978 in Yaoundé ) is a former Cameroonian football player at the position of a defender. His last club was in season 2006/ 07, the Albanian first division club KS Besa Kavaja.

Career

Playing career

Abanda began his career as a football player in his home country at Tonnerre Yaoundé, which until 1998 he ran aground in his time of 1995 in 74 games, scoring three goals. After his departure came to Greece to Apollon Kalamarias in the second highest Greek league, the Beta Ethniki, where he came in the 1998/99 season and in the season 1999/2000 in a total of 23 games for use. From 2000, his club was the Czech giants Sparta Prague for it from 2000 to 2001 in the Gambrinus League played (10 inserts), from 2001 to 2003 in the amateur team of the football club (45 inserts, 2 goals) and 2003-2004 again in the highest Czech league (1 use ). In 2004, he spent twelve games for 1 FK Drnovice he only a year later in 2005 again left to transfer to Teplice to the local football club. In Skláři Abanda came in the period 2005 to 2006, ten inserts, whereupon he again joined the club. This time it went to Albania to KS Besa Kavaja in the highest Albanian league, which Kategoria Superiore. Up to end of his career after the 2006/07 season, he completed 29 games for the Albanians.

Internationally

In 1998 he was nominated by former Cameroon coach Claude Le Roy in the squad for the FIFA World Cup 1998 in France. The then 19 -year-old Abanda, however, came during the World Cup is not applied; Cameroon already resigned from in the first round. At the Summer Olympics in Sydney in 2000, he was awarded the Olympic Team Cameroon Football Olympic champion.
