Patrick Flores

Patrick Fernández Flores ( born July 26, 1929 in Ganado ) is an American clergyman and retired Archbishop of San Antonio.

Life

Patrick Fernández Flores received on May 26, 1956, ordained priest for the Diocese of Galveston.

Pope Paul VI. appointed him on March 9, 1970 Auxiliary Bishop of San Antonio and Titular Bishop of Italica. The Apostolic Delegate in the United States, Luigi Raimondi, donated to him on 5 May of the same year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were Francis James Furey, Archbishop of San Antonio and John Louis Morkovsky, Coadjutor Bishop of Galveston - Houston.

On April 4, 1978, he was appointed Bishop of El Paso and introduced into the office on 29 May of the same year. On August 23, 1979, he was appointed Archbishop of San Antonio, and introduced into the office on 13 October of the same year. On December 29, 2004 Pope John Paul II accepted his resignation age-related.
