Patrick Labaune

Patrick Labaune ( born June 13, 1951 in Paris ) is a French politician. He was from 1993 to 1997 and since 2002 Member of the National Assembly.

Labaune graduated from the Institut d' études politiques in Grenoble an economics degree and then worked as a teacher. In the parliamentary elections in 1993, he ran for the RPR in the first constituency of the Drôme Provençale and was elected on the second ballot with 58.4 %. 1995 also he succeeded in the election for mayor of the city of Valence. In the parliamentary elections in 1997, he took up for re-election, failed in the second round but with 49.96% of votes at the Green Michèle Rivasi. In 2002 he returned to the National Assembly and was re- elected in 2007 and 2012. In the 2010 regional elections him next party succeeded in gaining the Regional Council of Provence- Alpes- Côte d' Azur region.
