Patrick Lefevere

Patrick Lefevere ( born January 6, 1955 in Moorslede, Belgium ) is a former Belgian cyclist and is currently team leader to the successful team Quick Step. Driving in the cycling team headed by him and drove well-known cyclists, such as Paolo Bettini, Tom Boonen, Frank Vandenbroucke, Johan Museeuw, Richard Virenque. Driver of his team were able to repeatedly win the race Paris -Roubaix, which has earned him, among others, the reputation of one of the best athletic director of cycling.

Lefevere was from 1976 to 1979 professional and was the teams Ebo Cinzia, Ebo - Superia and Marc Zeepcentrale - Superia under contract. Successful Lefevere was mainly in the Belgian spring races like Kuurne -Brussels- Kuurne or Three Days of De Panne.

In January 2007, Belgian media reported that Lefevere had doped in the seventies and even traded in doping substances. We relied on this testimony of a friend of Lefevere and a doctor. There were also allegations that Lefevere have built up in his teams Lotto Domo and Quickstep doping system. A current professional QuickStep expressed anonymously to the newspaper Gazet van Antwerpen that the team doping fraud still belong to the business. This is true, however, for the remaining riders.
