Patrick Sharp

John Patrick Sharp ( * December 27 1981 in Thunder Bay, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player. He currently plays for the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League on the position of the left outer striker.

Career

Patrick Sharp began his career in his hometown at the Thunder Bay Flyers in the United States Hockey League. He then continued his career at the University of Vermont. NHL Entry Draft 2001, he was selected by the Philadelphia Flyers in the third round as 95th overall player.

In the years 2003 to 2005 he played again and again for both the Flyers and their farm team in the American Hockey League, the Philadelphia Phantoms. Sharp had 23 goals and 29 assists with relevant in 75 games share of the Calder Cup - winning the Phantoms in the game year 2004/05.
