Patrick Simmons

Patrick Simmons ( * October 19, 1948 in Aberdeen, Washington) is an American rock singer and guitarist who made a name for himself primarily as a member of the Doobie Brothers.

Biography

At the age of eight years, Simmons began to learn guitar. Later, he joined then publicly and led a small folk club. In 1970 he joined the band Pud that a little later renamed to Doobie Brothers. Simmons was the one who wrote Blackwater, the first # 1 hit of the band. After the Doobies had separated in 1982, Simmons released two solo albums. 1983 Arcade, which included with So Wrong and the Huey Lewis song Do not Make Me Do It two minor hits and 1996 Take Me To The Highway, but that appeared only in Japan and mainly their own interpretations of famous Doobie Brothers titles contained. 1987 Simmons was returned to the Doobie Brothers, who had reformed in 1986.
