Patsy Rowlands

Patsy Rowlands ( born January 19, 1931 in Palmers Green, London, † January 22, 2005 in London) was a British actress.

Life

At the age of 15 years Rowlands won a scholarship to the London drama school Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She debuted in 1958 in London's West End. It was followed by several roles at the Players' Theatre in London before she gave in 1961 her film debut in the comedy Over the Odds. In the 1970s, she gained a greater awareness through their roles in the British Carry-on ... comedies. Overall, they played there with in nine films. In addition to her film credits include roles continue in London's theaters, such as in The Seagull, directed by Lindsay Anderson, and entered the musicals Oliver last! and My Fair Lady on.

Rowlands died on 22 January 2005 at the age of 74 years to breast cancer. She leaves behind a son.
