Patty Judge

Patty Jean Judge ( born November 2, 1943 in Fort Madison, Iowa) is an American politician. Between 2007 and 2011 she was Deputy Governor of the State of Iowa.

Career

Patty Judge graduated from Albia High School. She then until 1965 at the Iowa Methodist School of Nursing. She then studied at the University of Iowa. Later she worked as a nurse in health care. She was also active in the real estate industry. Together with her husband John owns a cattle farm in Monroe County. Politically, she became a member of the Democratic Party. Between 1992 and 1998, she was sitting in the Senate of Iowa, where she was a member of several committees; 1998 to 2006 she was the first woman Minister of Agriculture of their state.

2006 Judge was elected to the side of Chet Culver Vice Governor of Iowa. This office she held between 2007 and 2011. Yet she was Deputy Governor. In 2010, she was not re-elected. In December 2012, she stated that she would not run in 2014 for the office of lieutenant governor.

Patty Judge has been or is a member of numerous organizations and associations. Below are the Chamber of Commerce of Albia, Iowa State Fair and the Philanthropic Educational Organization. With her husband John she has three now grown sons.
