Patty Kazmaier Award
The Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award is an ice hockey trophy in the U.S. National Collegiate Athletic Association ( NCAA). It is awarded annually to the best female college hockey player.
The award was named after the former U.S. Hockey player Patty Kazmaier - Sandt, who was an outstanding defender at Princeton University 1981-1986. She died on 15 February 1990 at the age of 28 from the effects of a rare blood disease.
The record winner is Canada's Jennifer Botterill, who won the trophy twice in total.
