Paúl Ambrosi

Vicente Paúl Ambrossi Zambrano ( born October 14, 1980 in Guaranda ) is an Ecuadorian footballer.

Ambrossi is of Italian descent and played since he was 17 for the Ecuadorian club Liga de Quito tip. After he took some time until his breakthrough, since 2002 he is indispensable regular for his club and had next two championships with LDU also many successful international assignments. Plus point is in addition to its reliability its great flexibility: Ambrossi be used by the defender to the left winger, on the first champion in 2003, he went to ten goals this season. In the 2008 season he won with his team in the Copa Libertadores. In August 2009 he signed a contract with Rosario Central in Argentina, but returned in the following year to his original club.

In the Ecuadorian national team, he is, however, preferably as a defender in use. There, it took until 2004 that he became a regular in the qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup in 2006 and from then on was in all the remaining 13 qualifying matches there. Accordingly, he was inducted into the World Cup squad in Ecuador.
