Paul Bostaph

Paul Bostaph ( born March 6, 1964 in San Francisco) is an American drummer. He currently plays in the band Slayer. Before that he was for the bands Testament and Exodus.

Career

Bostaph, 1985 was one of the founding members of the band Forbidden Evil. After the band signed a recording contract shortened the band on the advice of her manager her name on Forbidden. Bostaph played on the first two albums Forbidden Evil and Twisted into form. When the band lost its contract and the search for a new partner lasted longer Bostaph joined Slayer in 1992 and was the successor to Dave Lombardo. In the meantime, he helped the band Testament during a tour of. With Slayer Bostaph recorded the albums Divine Intervention and the cover album Undisputed Attitude. End of 1996, Bostaph left Slayer to concentrate on his solo project, The Truth About Seafood. This project, however, remained without publication.

End of 1997, Bostaph returned to Slayer after his successor dortiger Jon Dette was fired from the band. With Slayer Bostaph recorded two more albums, Diabolus in Musica, and on God Hates Us All, before he admitted his chair again for Dave Lombardo 2002. In the spring of 2005 he joined the band Exodus and temporarily took over the post from Tom Hunting, who for reasons of health took a break. Bostaph is heard on the album Exodus Shovel Headed Kill Machine. After Huntings return Bostaph pushed the reunification of his first band Forbidden, where he has since been replaced by Mark Hernandez, as he was new date to be severely limited by its entry in Testament in the fall of 2007. After Dave Lombardo Slayer had to leave, Bostaph assumes there again the drums.
