Paul Moller

Life

Moller grew up in Trail in the Canadian province of British Columbia, attended the High School and from 1957 to 1958, the Polytechnic Southern Alberta Institute of Technology ( SAIT ) in Calgary. Thereafter he joined the Montreal-based aircraft manufacturer Canadair to work and visited on the McGill University in Montreal in 1964 where he completed his doctorate. In McGill at that time no teaching was advertised, so he was a professor from 1963 to 1975 at the University of California, Davis Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering in Davis ( California). He is professor emeritus and lives with his wife Rosa Maria Dixon ( California).

Business

Since 1964, Moller developed vertical takeoff aircraft. Since 1983 he runs in the Davis Moller Corporation, whose objective is to develop a four-seat airplane cars whose two-seat forerunner flying since 2003. Moller and his wife also own the company Freedom Motors which took over the division of the Wankel engines Outboard Marine Corporation and developed and manufactures the engines.
