Paul Monette

Paul Monette ( born October 16, 1945 in Lawrence, Massachusetts, † February 10, 1995 in West Hollywood, California ) was an American author, poet and LGBT activist.

Life

Monette studied at Phillips Academy until 1963 and then at Yale University, where he graduated in 1967. After graduation, he taught English at the Milton Academy in Boston and then moved to West Hollywood, California. There he met his life companion, the lawyer Roger Horwitz know, . Monette wrote several books and poems. From the late 1980s he thematized in particular the issue of AIDS. Over the life of the film Paul Monette Monette was: On the Brink of Summer's End by Monte Bramer and Lesli Klainberg rotated. On 10 February 1995 Monette died as a result of AIDS.
