Paul Peuerl

Paul Peuerl (also Bäurl, Beuerlin, Bäwerl, Agricola, * baptized June 13, 1570 in Stuttgart, † after 1625) was a German - Austrian composer, organist and organ builder.

As of November 1601 was Paul Peuerl organist in Horn and from autumn 1609 in Steyr, where he also acted as an organ builder. Organs he built in Steyr, horn, Enns and Wilhering. From Peuerl the first releases non- Italian trio sonatas that require accompanied by a basso two melody parts originate. His achievements in the direction of the suite to be seen for his time as a significant and pioneering.

The music science deals since 1865 with his works. A complete edition appeared in 1929.
