Paul Pierné

Paul Pierné (* June 30, 1874 in Metz, † March 24, 1952 in Paris) was a French composer.

The cousin of Gabriel Pierné studied at the Conservatoire de Paris with Georges Caussade, and Charles Lenepveu and won the 1904 Second ( second ) Prix de Rome. He was organist at St- Paul -St- Louis in Paris.

In addition to two operas and several ballets he composed two symphonies, a symphonic poem, a concerto for oboe, cello and orchestra, chamber music, piano and organ pieces as well as a trade show, an oratorio and choral works.
