Paul Rodriguez

Paul Rodriguez ( born January 19, 1955 in Culiacan, Mexico) is an actor and comedian.

Life and achievements

Rodriguez grew up in a suburb of Los Angeles, he served in the U.S. Air Force. After his military service, he studied law, at this time, his interest developed at the spectacle. He has performed since 1983 as a comedian, at the same time he made his debut as a film actor. In the action-comedy The anarchists Clique (1983 ) by Joel Schumacher, he appeared alongside Mr. T. In the thriller Quicksilver (1986 ), he starred opposite Kevin Bacon.

For his role in the sitcom Latino Laugh Festival, in which he appeared alongside Cheech Marin, he won the NCLR Bravo Award. In the sitcom Comic Relief VIII (1998 ), he starred opposite Billy Crystal, Whoopi Goldberg and Robin Williams. For this role he was nominated in 1999 for the American Latino Media Arts Award.

Rodriguez played in the comedy Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles ( 2001) the role of Diego, along with Paul Hogan and Linda Kozlowski. In the comedy Tortilla Soup - The Spice of Life (2001) he played the role of Orlando Castillo, husband of Leticia Naranjo ( Elizabeth Peña ) and son of Martin Naranjo ( Hector Elizondo ). For this role he was nominated in 2002 for the American Latino Media Arts Award.

His son is the famous skateboarder Paul Rodriguez.
