Paul Sédille

Paul Sédille (* 1836, † 1900) was a French architect, theorist, and painter. His most important work was the redesign of the department store Printemps in Paris.

Life

As contemporary theorists and critics Sédille dealt with the Viennese architecture of the 1880s. He was the only Frenchman of his time, who traced the architectural theory on the origins of Gottfried Semper.
