Paul Devil & Cie Photo equipment manufacturing is a wholesale company for photographic and optical equipment, and until the 1980s, manufacturers of magnification devices and photo lab requirement in Stuttgart.

History

1887, Paul devil the company in St. Mary's Street in Stuttgart and acted first with photo paper, photo plates and chemicals. The photographic studios in and around Stuttgart were supplied by Paul devil free.

In 1900 the company moved to the Tübingerstrasse 15 and extended their range over the entire range of the time available photographic equipment, studio equipment, darkroom supplies and consumables. Soon Württemberg was delivered in the entire kingdom.

From 1913, the range was expanded again and now even amateur cameras and after 1914 flash units and accessories have been delivered to the first established photo specialty stores and drugstores photo in southern Germany.

The end of 1918 retired 60- year-old Paul heck out of the company and handed it to Hermann Deuscher, Georg Kolb and Paul Speidel.

From the 1970s, the company also imported photo lab equipment from Japan and USA, but sat barely own developments by and developed gradually return to a pure trading company.

As part of the digitization of photography, the company missed in the 1990s, the connection to the modern photographic technology.
