Pavel Bělobrádek

Pavel Bělobrádek ( born December 25, 1976 in Náchod ) is a Czech politician and, since November 20, 2010 Party Leader of the Christian Democratic Party Křesťanská a demokratická unie - Československé strana Lidová ( KDU- CSL ).

From 1995 to 2001 he studied veterinary medicine at the Faculty of Veterinary Hygiene and Ecology of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical University in Brno. Between 2004 and 2008 he completed his doctoral training at the same place. In 2003 he received the confirmation of the first degree at the State Veterinary Administration of the Czech Republic and 2010 he studied at the Liberal Conservative Academy CEVRO economics, political science, law, international relations, political marketing and public presentation.

From 2001 he worked at the regional veterinary management for the region Hradec Králové, where he worked as chief veterinary inspector until 2009. This year he became the regional secretary of the KDU- CSL. By the year 2004, in Náchod and has since taken several other positions ( member of the Regional Committee, Chairman of the District Committee, Member of the Board of the Regional Committee, etc.). In 2010 he was elected to the City Council of Náchod.

On November 20, 2010, an extraordinary congress of the KDU -CSL took place in Zdar nad Vltavou, where he was elected chairman of the party, a spot that had been vacant since the resignation of Cyril Svoboda on May 29, 2010. He took over the party leadership of the provisional incumbent former first vice chairman Michaela Šojdrová. He won 280 of 425 votes, more than Michael Šojdrová (84 votes), Ludvik Hovorka (41) and Jaroslav Orel (20). In the run- he said that he is suffering from multiple sclerosis, but his condition to be stable for ten years.

Bělobrádek is married and has a son.
