Pavlíkov

Pavlíkov ( German Pawlikow, 1939-45 Paulshof ) is a market town in the Czech Republic. It is located six kilometers south of Rakovníka and belongs to Okres Rakovník.

Geography

Pavlíkov is located on a plateau in the highlands Křivoklátská. In Pavlíkov the Bach Všetatský creek rises. To the north, the Pavlíkovské raise Vrsky (437 m), in the northeast of Klůček ( 433 m ) east of the Remízský vrch ( 473 m), in the southeast U Homolky (454 m ) south of the Na Stráži (480 m ) in the southwest the Kočkov ( 494 m ) and the west Senecká hora (505 m). By Pavlíkov leads the state road II/233 between Rakovníka and Radnice.

History

The village was probably founded in the 13th century. The first written mention of Pawlicow took place in 1341 in a charter of King John of Luxembourg as a fief of the royal castle Křivoklát. In 1585 Pawlikow was removed from the Lehnverhältnis and Allodialgut. In 1660 the Knights of Rensch mountain ( Renšpergár z Renšperku ) inherited the estate on Škrivan. Later it was connected to the rule Kruschowitz. In 1685 Leopold I sold the Kronherrschaften Kruschowitz and Křivoklát at Ernst Joseph Graf von Waldstein. 1731 inherited Johann Joseph von Waldstein both dominions to his daughter and sole heir Maria Anna, Princess of Fürstenberg, they last will and testament in 1756 united with the Good Nischburg to a Familienfideikommiss of 400,000 guilders. One half of the inheritance fell to their sons Joseph Wenzel of Fürstenberg - Stühlingen and Charles I. Egon of Fürstenberg, the other her daughters Henriette Princess of Thurn and Taxis and Maria Theresa of Fürstenberg. 1780, the school was built. In 1843 Pawlikow consisted of 65 houses with 537 inhabitants. In the village there was a filial church of St.. Catherine, a municipal school, an estate with sheep and a Kommunschüttboden. Vicarage was wholesale Augezd. Until the mid-19th century Pawlikow remained the rule Kruschowitz including the fiefs Wschetat and Panaschow - Augezd submissive.

After the abolition of patrimonial Pavlíkov / Pawlikow formed in 1850 with the district Chlum a municipality in the district court district Rakonitz and Rakonitz. After the death of Karl Egon II of Fürstenberg inherited in 1854 the second son Max Egon I. the Fideikommiss Křivoklát. 1880 Chlum broke off and formed its own community. 1896 a post office was established. Until the 19th century Pavlíkov was a relationship of agriculture village. In 1929 the family sold the property Furstenberg to the Czechoslovak state. At that time, many residents worked in the mines of Lubná or the factories in Rakovníka. In 1932 lived in Pavlíkov 833 people. During the German occupation the village was awarded the German name Paulshof. The nursery was established in 1948. 1972 saw a cultural center. On 1 January 1980 Chlum were incorporated ( with Rysin ) Škrivan and Tytry. Pavlíkov was collected on 29 May 2007 Městys. The largest company in Pavlíkov is the RKZ, formerly keramický závod Šamotka. The eponymous district Pavlíkov has about 620 inhabitants.

The municipality is divided into the Katastralbezirke Chlum u Rakovníka, Pavlíkov, Rysin, Škrivan and Tytry. To Pavlíkov the monolayer Tyterský Mlyn belongs ( Tittricher mill).

Attractions

  • Baroque Church of St.. Catherine in Pavlíkov, built with the financial participation of Charles I. Egon of Fürstenberg in the years 1776-1778 instead of data from the 14th century chapel of St. Adalbert. On September 19, 1785 aisled building was consecrated. The 1950 deconsecrated church was in 1981 on the legal responsibility of the District Museum Rakovníka that they wanted to expand Depositarium.
