Pavlov (Pelhřimov District)

Pavlov ( Pavlov German ) is a town in the Czech Republic. It is located four kilometers southeast of Pelhřimov and belongs to Okres Pelhřimov.

Geography

Pavlov is on the right side of the valley of the Bela Nemojovský creek in the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands. To the north rises the Pavlovský Kopec (564 m) and in the south of Hurka (580 m). Southwest of the railway line from Pelhřimov runs to Jindřichův Hradec where is the station Rynárec beyond the Bela.

Neighboring towns are Skrýšov in the north, and Putimov Proseč pod Křemešníkem in the northeast, Nemojov in the east, Hartlíkov, Radnov and Zajíčkov the southeast, Rovná in the south, Rynárec the southwest, Vokov in the west and Pelhřimov in the northwest.

History

Pavlov was born in the 13th century as a mounting for the protection of the city Pelhřimov. The first mention of the episcopal rule Řečice related goods Pavlov took place in 1377. According to the division of the rule Pavlov remained at Řečicer share and arrived in 1497 to the Lords of Leskovec on ​​Nová Cerekev. In 1614 bought Magdalana Robhamp of Ptení the Good Pavlov. In the 17th century, Pavlov became independent estate with castle and courtyard.

In 1973, the annexation to Pelhřimov. Since 1990, Pavlov is a municipality again.

About the location of the estate is the former distillery. At the pond Štenflík a small hydroelectric power plant with two turbines was previously operated, which is now closed.
