Pavol Jantausch

Pavol Jantausch (* June 27, 1870 in Vrbove, Czechoslovakia, † June 29, 1947 in Trnava, Czechoslovakia, now Slovakia) was apostolic administrator in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Trnava.

Life

Born 1870 in Vrbove, Pavol Jantausch schools visited in Trnava and Bratislava, the seminary in Esztergom and a doctorate in Vienna. On September 21, 1893 he was ordained a priest. He was a pastor in several communities of the Archdiocese. Pope Pius XI. appointed him on 29 May 1922 apostolic administrator of Trnava and on March 30, 1925 Titular Bishop of Priene. He received his episcopal consecration on 14 June 1925, the Bishop of Nitra, Bishop Karol Kmetko. In 1930, he sat down for a monastic branch of the Premonstratensian in Vrbove one. In 1938 he founded the seminary in Trnava.

His final resting place he found in his hometown Vrbove.
