Päwesin

Paewesin is a municipality in the district of Potsdam- agent Mark Brandenburg. The municipality belongs to the Office of Lake Beetz, located in the municipality of Lake Beetz.

The municipality Päwesins is divided by the Betzsee and Riewendsee belonging to the city of Brandenburg an der Havel.

History

The first known mention of a place Pusyn ( Posyn ) dates back to 1197th The mention of an " Marsilius sacerdos de Pusyn " ( Marsilius, priest of Pusyn ) is related with attestation of the donation in 1197 from Ketzin and garlic by Otto II to the cathedral chapter of Brandenburg. The spatial allocation of the priest Marsilius by Pessin and after Paewesin is debatable.

1270 was a mention as Posyn, it was thought the parish priest, Posyn 1440 to 1500 Paesin, 1550 Possin, 1608 Pewesin, 1745 and 1805 as Pagesin Paewesin. 1409 Paewesin is sold by the Margrave Jobst of the new town of Brandenburg.

In GDR times, the East German television broadcasting operation in Riewend an operating summer camp for the children of his company employees.
