Pazar ( Laz / Georgian ათინა / Atina ) is a Turkish coastal city on the Black Sea and a district in the province of Rize. The city is located about 40 km northeast of the provincial capital of Rize. 1928, the town of Atina name was changed to Pazar, which means marketplace.

Pazar is one of the oldest settlements in the area and is located on the highway from Hopa to Rize. The terrain is mountainous and has deep river valleys. Summers are cool while winters are rainy, and humid. The largest river of the district is the Hemsin.
