PB Djarum

Perkumpulan Bulu Tangkis Djarum (short PB Djarum ) is an Indonesian badminton club, originally from Kudus. It was founded in 1974. The association come from numerous world -class players.

History

As early as 1969 began to employees of the company PT Djarum to play badminton in place. In 1974, the founding of the association with Setyo Margono on the seats, 1976, the branch office in Semarang. 1976 was Liem Swieten King for the first time in the final of All England. 1977, 1978 and 1979, he won there. In the latter year, the club members Hariamanto Kartono and Rudy Heryanto won there also the men's doubles. 1984 Indonesia won the Thomas Cup in Kuala Lumpur. being with Liem Swieten King, Hastomo Arbi Hadiyanto, Kartono, Heryanto, Christian Hadinata and Hadibowo seven of the eight players from PB Djarum came. Only Icuk Sugiarto did not come from the PB. In 1985, the branch was established in Jakarta, 1986 in Surabaya. 1991 won Ardy B. Wiranata at the All England.
