Peace at Home, Peace in the World

The Turkish phrase Yurtta sulh, cihanda sulh ( in German: Peace at home, peace in the world ) is considered one of the guiding principles of Kemalism in Turkey. Yurtta sulh, cihanda sulh was first proclaimed by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk on 20 April in 1931 to the public and is regarded as the motto of the Turkish foreign policy. The entire original sentence was:

" Cumhuriyet Halk Fırkası'nın müstakar umumî siyasetini SU kısa cümle açıkça ifadeye kâfidir zannederim: Yurtta sulh, cihanda sulh için çalışıyoruz. "

Translated, the message " To explain the stable and general diplomacy of the Republican People's Party (CHP), I think that this is enough of this short sentence: We work for peace in the home, peace in the world. "

The assumed since the language reforms to Turkification contemporary version is " Yurtta barış, dünyada barış ".
