Peace Research Institute Oslo

The Institute for Peace Research (Norwegian: Institutt for fredsforskning, English: Peace Research Institute Oslo, PRIO ) in Oslo (Norway ) is the first peace research institute in Europe and was founded in 1959 by Johan Galtung. The Institute has significantly influenced the development of peace and conflict research.

The Institute publishes two journals, Journal of Peace Research and Security Dialogue.
