Pedernales Falls State Park

Pedernales Falls State Park ( pronunciation: [ ˌ pɜrdənælɪs ] ) is a roughly 21.1 km ² State Park in Blanco County ( Texas ) west of Austin.

In 1970 the state bought the site of the Circle Bar Ranch from a private owner in 1971 and it was opened to the public as a state park. The park stretches along the banks of the Pedernales River.
