Pedro Contreras

Pedro Contreras ( born January 7, 1972 in Madrid ) is a former Spanish football goalkeeper.

A native from Madrid Pedro Contreras started his career at Madrid suburb Club Rayo Vallecano. It was followed by engagements at Malaga CF and Real Betis in Andalusia, crowned by the cup win in 2005 with Betis. After he was on loan for the 2007/2008 season at the second division club Cádiz CF, he ended his career and was goalkeeping coach at his former team Málaga CF.

Contreras was a member of the Spanish squad for the 2002 World Cup in Japan and South Korea, but came to no use. His debut in the Spanish national team, he was on 16 October 2002 in a 0-0 draw against Paraguay - it was his only appearance in Nationaltor.
