Pedro López Quintana

Pedro López Quintana ( born July 27, 1953 in Barbastro ) is a diplomat of the Holy See.

Life

The Pope personally ordained him priest on 15 June 1980.

Pope John Paul II appointed him on 12 December 2002 Titular per hac vice Acropolis. He received his episcopal consecration, the Pope personally on 6 January of the next year; Co-consecrators were Leonardo Sandri, substitute of the Secretariat of State, and Antonio Maria Vegliò, secretary of the Congregation for the Oriental Churches.

On 8 February 2003, he was appointed Apostolic Nuncio to India and Nepal. Benedict XVI. appointed him on 10 December 2009 Apostolic Nuncio to Canada.

On March 8, 2014, Pope Francis appointed as Apostolic Nuncio in Lithuania. On March 22, 2014 he was also appointed Apostolic Nuncio in Latvia and Estonia.
