Peeblesshire

Peeblesshire is a traditional county in the South East of Scotland. Administrative headquarters and the eponymous town was the town of Peebles.

As the administrative county was Peeblesshire 1890-1975 and then went on in the District of Tweeddale Borders region. The Borders region was disbanded in 1996 and reformed in the Unitary Authority Scottish Borders. Peeblesshire is still under the name of Tweeddale one of the Lieutenancy Areas of Scotland.
